Disney’s ‘Moana 2’ Trailer Expands On The Lore Of The Original
This year’s iteration of Disney’s D23 conference was rife with sequels, reboots, and remakes, and Moana did not escape that treatment. That’s not a bad thing though — if any story deserves new tales to tell in a new universe, it’s Moana. So here comes Moana 2.
The new sequel from the team of David Derrick, Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller sees the titular character (Auliʻi Cravalho) team up once again with demigod trickster Maui (voiced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) as they go into to uncharted territory to face a new threat to Oceania.
Disney seems all-in with the Moana franchise with plans for a live-action remake of the original already in production and set for a 2026 release. But in the meantime, you can catch Moana 2 in theaters on November 27.
